Work Party
We have scheduled a work party for Saturday, April 12th, starting at 9:00 a.m. We will be cutting firewood and cleaning up the brush from the logging we did last fall. If we have enough help, we also want to install a new gate for the rifle range and do some general maintenance on the rifle range.

The Rainier Rod and Gun Club offers an amazing variety of shooting events, year around, tailored to be challenging and fun for the whole family. Novices to the shooting sports will find plenty of help from experienced shooters and experts will find enough competition to keep their skills sharp.
The club is located approximately 2 miles West of Rainier, Oregon. Facilities include an International Trap and Sporting Clay Range, a 100 yard Rifle and 25 yard Pistol Range. A Clubhouse / Classroom is located at the range.

The only thing missing at the Rainier Rod and Gun Club is YOU!
Isn't it time you joined an active group that promotes safety and the enjoyment of the sport of shooting?
Memberships are available and encouraged.
Membership is only $20.00 a year.

It's easy to join. Just send your $20.00 to:

Make sure to include your name and return address so that we can send you your membership card. (See ya at the range !!)

The gun club first organized at the old farmers' hall in 1947. It then moved to the present location in 1949, long before most of the houses were built in that area.
We are continuing to teach Hunter Safety classes twice a year, hold trap shoots at least twice a month, have a covered rifle and pistole range, and are proud to be an active part of our community.
The Club has been a significant place of interest in the community, working with such organizations as the FFA, 4-H, Boy Scouts, Young Life, local Churches and local Granges. Two of our club members went on to become Olympic shooters.
In 1973 the club was instrumental in proving to the States of Oregon that some 22 caliber center fire rifles would work for the hunting of deer, and act that still is used to this day.
